Grit operative takes "senior role" with Clark government

Add another Grit to list of party and government staffers surrounding Premier Christy Clark. According to an email sent by Liberal Party of Canada national director Ian McKay and obtained by Public Eye, its director of political operations Richard Maksymetz "has accepted a senior role" in Ms. Clark's government. That appointment will become effective on October 10, 2011. The following is a complete copy of that email.

Our colleague Richard Maksymetz, Director of Political Operations, has accepted a senior role in the government of Premier Christy Clark in Victoria.Richard has served the Liberal Party of Canada with distinction for well over a decade, and is well known to party members, officials, caucus, and Leaders past and present. His presence in this office and at all levels of our party will be sorely missed.Richard's appointment in Victoria is effective October 10, 2011.I want to thank Richard for his excellent service to this office and to the Party, congratulate him on his new appointment, and wish him and his family the best of luck in this new endeavour.

I guess the austerity program only applies to the rest of us. There appears to be plenty of money to plump up Christy's government.....

As they continue to use Liberal Party of Canada losers, Christy Clark will continue to lose Voters and conservatives in the party will move on to the BCC and so will NDP conservatives, getting better for the BCC more than ever, thanks Christy Clark!

Yet another BC Liberal supporter bellying up to the taxpayer funded trough.

I guess it is part of her jobs plan.
