Dix's leadership will be put to the test in December

Opposition leader Adrian Dix will soon face his first literal leadership test. Delegates attending the British Columbia New Democrat Party's December biennial convention will be casting secret ballots on whether to hold a leadership vote. If more than 50 percent support such a measure, Mr. Dix will have to re-compete for his job. The vote is new proceedure that was approved at the party's last convention, which took place in November 2009.
