Weekly Wrap Up - July 29, 2011

This week, Public Eye exclusively revealed:

* the government office running the province's pro-harmonized sales tax campaign secretly doled out contracts to two Liberal-connected companies and a former aide to the minister who introduced the tax;

* Fight HST leader Bill Vander Zalm is calling for a public inquiry into the conduct and structure harmonized sales tax referendum; and

* senior bureaucrats have staunchly defended Premier Gordon Campbell's creation of a natural resource operations ministry, stating that complaints about it are coming from those who lost personal power as a result of the reorganization.
