Ex-Maritinite hired to fundraise for BC Liberals

Christy Clark supporter Michele Cadario has been hired as the BC Liberal Party's fundraising director, as the organization moves to eliminate its debt and build an election war chest. Ms. Cadario was a member of Ms. Clark's transition team and, until recently, the managing director of communications for Canuck Place Children's Hospice. She also served as a deputy chief of staff to prime minister Paul Martin and was national director for his successful 2003 leadership campaign. Earlier, Public Eye also reported that International Forest Products Ltd. president and chief executive officer Duncan Davies had been named the party's fundraising chair.
