Key Clark backer makes a career change

Don Millar, one of Christy Clark's key backers during her successful campaign for the provincial Liberal leadership, is leaving the communications firm that bought out his advertising agency in late 2008. In an email, which was sent to colleagues and obtained by Public Eye, Financial Dynamics Ltd. managing director Mr. Millar stated he doesn't have "any specific or confirmed plans" for the future "but I will continue to actively support the Premier in her work. While I have been active across all levels over the years, supporting our Premier is the only political endeavor I will be involved in and focused on. I look forward to continuing to help." Mr. Millar has also recently been working for the Smart Tax Alliance. The following is a complete copy of that email.

As of the 6th of July I am leaving FD and FTI Consulting. It has been a great run with a terrific firm, but it's time for a change, which starts with taking a break until the end of July. I don't have any specific or confirmed plans after that, but I will continue to actively support the Premier in her work. While I have been active across all levels over the years, supporting our Premier is the only political endeavor I will be involved in and focused on. I look forward to continuing to help.
