WorkSafeBC board gets a potential pay raise

The provincial government has opened the door to a pay increase for some WorkSafeBC board members. According to an order in council approved on June 1, those chairing its committees now have an opportunity to receive an additional $3,000 annually or $5,000 in the case of its audit committee chair. That's on top of their annual retainer and per work day fee. The increases, which are consistent with the remuneration guidelines for a smaller commercial or major service delivery Crown corporation, must still approved by WorkSafeBC's board. The following is a complete copy of the aforementioned order in council.
