British Columbia's public affairs bureau is looking to bolster government's ability to get its message out online. Yesterday, the bureau - which is now called government communications and public engagement under the Clark administration - quietly announced it was in the market for contractors who could provide it with "Website solutions and Web design services." According to a document posted on the government's procurement Website, those services could include "creating and responding to tweets, direct messages and posts" on Twitter, Facebook and other services. Other services range from creating online ads to building iPad, smart phone and mobile applications. The following is a complete copy of the aforementioned document.
