White running for BC Liberal presidency

The woman who co-chaired Christy Clark's campaign to become leader of the provincial Liberals is running for the presidency of the party. Public Eye has learned Sharon White - a securities lawyer and former Partnerships British Columbia director - is campaigning for that position. The party's current president, Mickey Patryluk, recently confirmed she won't be seeking re-election after ten years of service. Ms. White is presently a partner with Richards Buell Sutton LLP, chairing its securities and corporate finance group. She has yet to return a call from Public Eye seeking comment.

Ms. White will probably win and not comment to you, Sean. Sorry about the latter but I'd be pleasantly surprised if she did, the former I feel Alise Mills would be a helluva party Commander-in-Chief who would lead us to victory. Enuf said.
