Simpson's independent riding association approved

Independent Cariboo North MLA Bob Simpson now has an independent constituency association. In an interview with Public Eye, Mr. Simpson confirmed Elections British Columbia approved the establishment of that association last Thursday. That means the independent MLA's supporters can now raise money and issue receipts in preparation for the upcoming election. The chair of the association's coordinating committee is Keith Sandve. Mr. Sandve was formerly president of the New Democrat constituency association in that riding.

Good. That makes 2 bona fide independent MLAs. All we need is 83 more and we will have a true democracy.

MLA Simpson called Coleman on a point today. Seems the big goof didn't know or didn't want to know that beside the two parties, there are two independent members and they too have to agree on something that is supposed to be unanimous. If in doubt, MLA Coleman, try asking those high price workers in the black robes sitting at the table in the middle of the room
