Lottery corporation looks to outsource payroll

The provincial government's gambling arm is looking into outsourcing its payroll department, Public Eye has learned. Last week, the British Columbia Lottery Corp. quietly announced it would be "gathering information" from "experienced and qualified" companies who could takeover that "small" department's work. According to a document posted on the government's procurement Website, the department is responsible for processing payroll for approximately 900 employees.
