Campbell touts Olympic benefits south of the border

It's been more than a year since the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games held its closing ceremonies. But Gordon Campbell is still talking about the event - this time in another jurisdiction. Tomorrow, the former premier is scheduled to participate in a Colorado panel forum about whether the state should pursue an Olympic bid - having turned down an opportunity to host the Games in 1976. The event is being hosted by the Vail Symposium, a grassroots, non-profit organization that provides education programs to the Vail Valley community.

Is Gordo looking for a job with the IOC? He would would fit right in with that gang of overpaid folks. He managed to run his popularity down to well under 10 percent with the people of BC. Maybe the IOC isn't dumb enough to hire him

Let's not kick down Premier Campbell. Those Olympics brought a lot of infrastructure & investment to BC. Good work, Premier Campbell.

It says something that the only part of his legacy which he can brag about is one that the auditor general's office was not permitted to oversee.

Premier Gordon Campbell will be missed by our province, he was the best of the best.
