Huntington rules out run to succeed Cummins

Earlier, we exclusively told you realtor Keith Roy is organizing to run for the federal Conservation nomination in Delta-Richmond East. That seat is presently held by Tory MP John Cummins. But, according to The Globe and Mail's Chris Hannay, Prime Minister Stephen Harper's office has announced Mr. Cummins won't be seeking re-election. So who else might be interested in that nomination? Well, independent MLA Vicki Huntington's name has been bandied about. But, in an interview with Public Eye, she ruled out such a bid. "Lots of people have been asking me in the last week...But I'm passionate about the provincial political scene and I'm not interested in moving federally."
