Brown Envelope - January 2011

Today, we released the sixteenth issue of the Brown Envelope, our exclusive newsletter for Public Eye's donors. Inside, you'll find out about: more details concerning Falcon 20/20 - the third party business group backing Kevin Falcon's provincial Liberal leadership bid; Preston Manning's private communications with the premier's now former chief of staff Martyn Brown; and one of the principle differences between the present provincial New Democrat leadership race and the one that happened in 2003. So, if you aren't already a supporter, please consider making a confidential $10 monthly contribution by clicking on the bar below. You'll be helping sustain our investigative work and keep the province's public institutions honest. (Please note, federal tax laws require us to include the harmonized sales tax as part of your contribution. You can stop supporting Public Eye at any time by following this link.)

The main difference between the 2003 and today is that we have one member one vote, in both parties. This means that electronic media, which hardly existed then, is influential in the race. I think it's interesting that even tho the Libs are electing their leader before us, they haven't cut off the membership gathering yet, where as we have.
