Abbott planning a trip to Cowtown

George Abbott is looking for support for his provincial Liberal leadership bid outside British Columbia. In an email sent to Public Eye, Mr. Abbot confirmed he's "going to Calgary to meet with industry representatives. Clearly many of those organizations also do business in B.C., and I'm pleased to have their support. There is a vital interdependency between the two provinces and our shared industries, and we need to support those important links." A date for the whistlestop has yet to be set.

Shades of Alberta PC leadership candidates Jim Dinning and Ted Morton coming to BC for fundraising events back in 2006.

Abbott is likely looking for help from his good friend Premier Ed Stelmach. Ouch! Ouch!

Now Jim Dinning is on a panel to "sell" the HST. Makes you wonder about these guys.
