Grewal supporting Falcon's leadership bid

Former Newton-North Delta Conservative MP Gurmant Grewal is backing Kevin Falcon's provincial Liberal leadership bid. In an email, Mr. Grewal explained Mr. Falcon is "honest, hardworking, experienced and has the vision to lead British Columbia," having personally worked with the former provincial cabinet minister when he was in public office. For example, he wrote, "while Kevin was the Minister of State for Deregulation, I was the Co-Chair of Standing Joint Committee (House and Senate) for Scrutiny of Regulations." Mr. Grewal also suggested Mr. Falcon's premiership would be good for Surrey residents like himself, since the candidate believes in "expanding Surrey Memorial Hospital, Green Line and infrastructure" in the city. The following is a complete copy of that email.

Dear Mr. Holman,

Thank you for contacting me and giving me the opportunity to explain why I support selecting Mr. Kevin Falcon as the next premier of British Columbia :

- I have had my riding overlapping over that of Kevin Falcon's after he was first elected MLA in 2001.
- We have had opportunity to work together on many issues and portfolios (eg. while Kevin was the Minister of State for Deregulation, I was the Co-Chair of Standing Joint Committee (House and Senate) for Scrutiny of Regulations.
- I live in Surrey. Kevin believes in expanding Surrey Memorial Hospital, Green Line and infrastructure in Surrey.
- I believe Kevin is honest, hardworking, experienced and has the vision to lead British Columbia.

Regards,
Gurmant Grewal
