Ralston provides NDPers with an alternative to haggis

What does Indian food have in common with Robbie Burns Day? Beats us. But provincial New Democrat finance critic Bruce Ralston is throwing them together January 23 for his so-called Curry and Kilts fundraiser. That event - which is expected to feature party president Moe Sihota and outgoing leader Carole James - will combine the "savour and spice of traditional Indian cuisine with the romance and politic celebrated on Robbie Burns day." This, according to a notice posted on the New Democrats' Website. The fundraiser will take place at the Bombay Banquet Hall.

Maybe Carole and Moe will be leaving, which wouldn't be much of a loss for the NDP
