November 20 and 21 are shaping up to be pivotal dates for the New Democrats. That's when the party's provincial council is scheduled to meet and, perhaps, debate contentious resolutions calling for a leadership convention in 2011, as well as Cariboo North MLA Bob Simpson's reinstatement to the opposition caucus. The meeting, which will take place in Victoria at the Inn at the Laurel Point, coincides with a Saturday evening event celebrating former premier Dave Barrett's eightieth birthday. Of course, some New Democrats might not feel much like partying by then. But we digress. Tickets to the event are $100. The following is a complete copy of the invitation to it.
