Legacy project

A dinner honouring Gordon Campbell's contribution to the construction industry is being turned into a dinner honouring his political legacy, Public Eye has learned. The decision to do so was made following the premier's announcement yesterday that he would be stepping aside. As a result, the Builder of the Decade Dinner is being moved to a larger space within the Vancouver Convention Centre to accomodate around 1,000 guests - approximately double the number who were initially expected to attend. Ticket sales are also being expanded to include members of the business community outside the construction industry.

Will they be serving crow?

Campbell will get a dinner for services rendered to the real estate and construction industry. Unfortunately, these services were often contrary to the interests of consumers.
