The general gets a new command

Comptroller general Cheryl Wenezenki-Yolland - who authored high-profile reviews of the Vancouver school board, British Columbia Ferry Services Inc. and the Greater Vancouver Transit Authority - has a new job. As part of today's cabinet realignment, she was appointed the environmental assessment office's associate deputy minister. Internal audit and advisory services director Stuart Newton has been named the province's acting comptroller general. According to a spokesperson, no date has been fixed for the appointment of Ms. Wenezenki-Yolland's permanent replacement.
