Dancing with himself

Could this be another indication of tension within the opposition caucus? On Sunday, Saanich South MLA Lana Popham and New Democrat president Moe Sihota were scheduled to attend a party fundraiser in Kelowna. The so-called Harvest Hoot, was to include a line-dancing demo lesson followed by live music - with tickets being priced at $50. But our understanding is Ms. Popham cancelled her attendance at that event, having earlier expressed a desire to see North Cariboo MLA Bob Simpson reinstated to the opposition benches. Today, Ms. Popham is in Revelstoke participating in a sustainability forum with Norm Macdonald. Mr. Macdonald resigned as caucus chair last week over party leader Carole James's decision to expel Mr. Simpson without consulting caucus.
