James explains caucus chair's resignation

Earlier, Public Eye reported on Norm Macdonald's decision to resign as provincial New Democrat caucus chair. This, after party leader Carole James decided to expel Cariboo North MLA Bob Simpson from the opposition benches without consulting caucus. In an interview with The Globe and Mail's Justine Hunter, Ms. James confirmed Mr. Macdonald's resignation was connected to that decision. The party leader has yet to respond to an interview request from Public Eye.

Norm is excactly right. Carole James could have responded to Bob Simpson's mildly critical comment with a humerous quip and then found some way of chastising him in caucus. She responded to a paint ball with a hand grenade.

So now the caucus might be trying to decide which side of the discussion is the best for them and the party.
