Recently, Gordon Campbell has appeared at events where provincial Liberals have been voting on whether to support his continued leadership of the party. Presumably, that's part of attempt to ensure the results of that vote - which will be announced at the Liberals' upcoming biennial convention - are in his favour. But those appearances might have the opposite affect. After all, some Liberals want to see the premier retire but do so on his own schedule. So they're prepared to endorse his leadership so long as he's headed for the door anyway. But that may change if they become convince he's going to overstay his welcome.
