The provincial government will be paying Accenture Inc. up to $600,000 to monitor the consolidation of "corporate, clinical support and back office functions" at Lower Mainland health authorities, Public Eye has learned. The ministry of health services went through a competitive bid process in February before awarding that work to the American outsourcing firm. A ministry spokesperson told Public Eye the amount Accenture is making is a "fraction of the estimated savings to be achieved through the Lower Mainland consolidation efforts."
