Prepare for return fire

At the last meeting of the legislature's select standing committee on children and youth, the province's independent child protection watchdog said the ministry of children and family development has stopped directly responding to her recommendations. Instead, according to Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond, the ministry will only respond to those recommendations through the committee. So we're anxious to find out what will happen Wednesday morning, when it does exactly that. According to the committee's agenda, there will also be a discussion of the ministry's Strong, Safe and Supported plan.

I'm sure Mary Polak should say... and I quote from "The West Wing":

"Let me tell you something, mi compadre, you guys have been coddled. I'm not your girlfriend, I'm not your camp counselor, and I'm not your 6th grade teacher you had a crush on. I'm a [self-made lioness of liberty], and I believe that my powers of debate can rise to meet the Socratic wonder that is the [Select Standing
Committee on Children and Youth and the Rockpile] press corps."

Hey, I ought to sell tickets to this meeting! :-)

we see the one man band supporter of Polak again misses the point. The advocate is an independent officer of the Legislature, and was put there by both parties, so lets get off the line of Polak being some sort of a special being, and she has the job only as long as Gordo wants her to have it. Kids are at risk , some die, and the present minister and her Gordo picked Deputy are trying to play silly bugger

Avoter, perhaps Mary Polak needs an advocate?

Perhaps Mary Polak is a "special being"?

Perhaps Avoter will put down the wine and run for office?!? Or start Avoter Eye Online?!?
