A pivotal moment

Earlier, we broke the news that the late Darrell Mickasko's common law partner Pamela Erickson is suing the federal government - seeking a declaration the homeless have a right to emergency shelter and the government has a duty to provide it. Ms. Erickson is being represented by Pivot Legal Society. But, in an interview with Public Eye, the society's executive director John Richardson declined to comment on the matter. "At this stage, I'm not going to be giving any comment on it except what's in the writ...It's a very unusual strategy for us. But that's where we're coming from at this point - no comment."
