Shared Services BC isn't "just a cost-cutting or budget reduction exercise," according to the Campbell administration. But it's still one of that division's principle purposes - saving taxpayer dollars by centralizing back office services for provincial government ministries. So why has shared services been so hard hit by the administration's recent workforce adjustments? After all, 41 of the 203 employees impacted by the first round of those adjustments came from that division. And the "majority" of the employees impacted by the second round also came from shared services.
