Vision Vancouver city councillor and Western Canada Wilderness Committee executive director Andrea Reimer will soon be taking off one of her hats. The wilderness committee is in the process of hiring a replacement for Ms. Reimer, with yesterday having been the closing date to submit an application. In an interview with Public Eye, the city councillor said she intended to leave the committee earlier. But Ms. Reimer choose to help ensure it wasn't impacted by the economic recession - a goal she said has been achieved. "I am, as you know, pretty invested in the organization and it's success," Ms. Reimer explained. "And there were persuasive arguments that going through the recession and a leadership transition at the same time was a lot to go through." The following is a complete copy of the job posting for that position.
