Earlier, we were the first to tell you Children and Family Development Minister Mary Polak had quietly named outspoken social conservative and former school trustee colleague Heather Stilwell to the B.C. College of Social Workers's board of directors. And here's a complete copy of that ministerial order, which was signed by the minister on December 14. Under the Social Workers Act, one-third of the college's board is appointed by the minister, with the remainder being elected by registered social workers.
