The Burquitlam provincial Liberal constituency association partially paid for their MLA, government backbencher Harry Bloy, to take a trip to Korea in October 2008. According to Mr. Bloy's public disclosure statement, the association contributed $2,200 toward that trip with the rest of the cost being picked up by the member. This isn't the first time Mr. Bloy has taken an overseas trip on someone else's dime. Last year, we reported Across International Business Exchange Ltd. paid $7,500 for he and his wife to travel to China with Canada-China Friendship Association. And Tomorrow Consulting picked up the $4,500 tab for an expedition to Korea with the Canadian Korea Business Association.
