Politicians have never been known to be camera shy. So it should come as no surprise that, on March 4, 2008, the committee responsible for the operations and management of the legislature decided MLA should be entitled to two taxpayer-funded photographic sittings per parliament rather than just one. The recently-released minutes for that meeting state the cost of those sitting should be "reasonable" and that legislative employ their "best judgement...when using the photographs." The committee is composed of the speaker, three government MLAs and two opposition MLAs.
