Intent isn't everything

Not every provincial Liberal legislator supports a controversial government bill that will allow police to forcibly take homeless people to shelters during cases of extreme weather. During its second reading on Monday, backbencher Norm Letnick voted against the legislation, along with New Democrat MLAs. And, in an interview with Public Eye, he explained why. The bill passed third reading yesterday.

How wonderfully refreshing - an MLA with conscience and backbone!

I do hope this isn't the end of his political career, though, and I do hope you bring us much more of what Mr Letnick might have to say, Sean. He sounds like someone with a mind of his own who's actually worth listening to!
