In January, The Vancouver Sun's Vaughn Palmer reported the provincial government would be centralizing its freedom of information and privacy staff into a "single unit in the ministry of labour and citizens' services." This, according to an email from the premier's then deputy minister Jessica McDonald. Which is why those staff members were packing up their disparate offices last week and consolidating them into just two locations - 716 Courtney Street and 548 Michigan Street - as part of that centralization process.
