I am writing to inform you that today I will be leaving my position as Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development, as I leave to pursue another career opportunity. This is a very significant day for me as being a public servant has been an essential part of my life for many years. I have learned so much through the many different areas and the ministries I have worked in.
As many of you know, being the Deputy Minister of ALMD has been a highlight. In particular, the people in ALMD are intelligent, committed and reflect the best in the values of public service. I would like to thank you all for the support you have given me as Deputy Minister and wish you all the very best.
Effective immediately, Lorne Brownsey will act as Deputy Minister, Advanced Education and Labour Market Development. Lorne will retain his position as Deputy Minister, Corporate Initiatives and Intergovernmental Relations in the Office of the Premier until my successor is named. I know Lorne will enjoy his time in working with you in ALMD.
