The latest Ipsos-Reid Corp. poll puts the federal Liberals 15 percentage points behind the Conservatives, with 25 percent support among Canadians. Asked what he thinks Grit leader Michael Ignatieff could do to improve that number, the party's Victoria candidate Christopher Causton said, "I think Michael has to get out of Ottawa and come out to ridings like Victoria, make his presence felt across the country. You know, the biggest thing I hear about Michael is that people haven't seen him. So he needs to get out here and be on the ground and make himself known. One of the things that really attracts me to him is that he's what I call a non-politician. And I think a lot of the flack he's taken is because he's not a politician. And he's learning that as he goes. And I think people, once they got to know him, will really like him - as I do."
He needs to get out of the house more
