You remember Letlotlo "Coco" Lefoka don't you? Former federal Liberal British Columbia youth president, Gerard Kennedy leadership bid supporter, ex-fraternity grand master and so on. Does that ring a bell? Well, Mr. Lefoka now has a new job. Last week, British Columbia party members were told he has been appointed their new operations and outreach director. The following is a complete copy of that announcement.
I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Letlotlo "Coco" Lefoka as Director of Operations and Outreach for the Liberal Party of Canada in British Columbia.
Coco brings a wealth of energy and experience to the position. Most recently, Coco served as the International Project Coordinator and Executive Assistant to the President and CEO of Brinkman and Associates Reforestation Ltd., in Vancouver BC. In this role he was responsible for liaising with clients, governments, NGOs, project partners and other vested stakeholders. This experience will serve him well as the LPCBC strives to expand and enhance service delivery to EDAs and our members across the province.
Coco has held various roles for the Liberal Party of Canada including President of the Young Liberals of Canada in BC, a National Youth Chair in the 2006 Leadership Campaign, Director of Operations for an EDA, and Election Day Chair during a BC by-election campaign. Coco also brings experience in fundraising and intercultural promotional programs from various positions he held while at UBC, where he completed his BA in Political Science. His political experience, knowledge of the party, and understanding of public policy will be critical for the LPCBC's increasing emphasis on outreach and growth.
Coco has been a long-time supporter of the Liberal Party of Canada and has experience in all aspects of running effective electoral campaigns.
