Yesterday, Joe Pesschisolido won the federal Liberal nomination in Richmond. So we feel compelled to report that when Public Eye asked Mr. Pesschisolido seven months ago whether he would run for that nomination, the former Canadian Alliance turned Grit parliamentarian told us, "I'm happy doing what I am doing. I have a law firm I've been running for about five years. People have approached me and asked me if I'm interested in running. And I've set, 'Look, it's too early right now. We need to rebuild the party. And then we'll have a look at it down the road." But it seems "down the road" was only a few kilometers!
