And then there was one

The provincial legislature's last two-reporter bureau is losing one of its members. The Times Colonist's Lindsay Kines will now be based out of the broadsheet's newsroom. That means Rob Shaw will be the newspaper's only reporter at the Rockpile, covering the beat with columnist Les Leyne. Our understanding is Mr. Kines will be doing feature and investigative reporting for The Times Colonist, including some political coverage. The change is expected shortly.

So the Times Colonist still charges us for seven day delivery but to cut costs only produces a paper six days a week, the excuse being there is no news on Mondays. Hope Mr.Kines can scrape up enough stuff to keep the paper going. It seems pretty short of columnists right now

Avoter, I know of one the Times-Colonist could hire or syndicate: Sean Holman!
