Lending a hand

Earlier, we reported independent legislator Vicki Huntington's biggest campaign corporate contribution was a $2,000 donation from Westshore Terminals Ltd. But, according to her election financing report, the campaign also received a $2,000 donation from supporter Rick Stanley, as well as a a $2,500 loan from its manager Eric Sykes. Mr. Sykes, a former Alcan Aluminum Ltd. executive, was been president of federal Conservative parliamentarian John Cummins constituency association. He made headlines two years ago when the Harper administration appointed him to the Workers' Compensation Appeal Tribunal.
