The Wright choice

Look who's been appointed to the Legal Services Society of British Columbia's board of directors! Why it's Marion Wright, who only three months ago unsuccessful ran as the provincial Liberals in North Island against New Democrat incumbent Claire Trevena. Of course, the board resourcing and development office doesn't mention that bullet point on Ms. Wright's resume, which also includes chairing the now defunct Vancouver Island Aboriginal Transition Authority and being the Kwakiutl Indian Band's former chief councillor. Former children and family development minister Tom Christensen was also recently appointed to the legal services society's board.

Oh great! Cut more special needs programs, surgeries and teachers to finance ever more BC Liberal appointees living off the public purse!

But the friends come first
