Vote by association

Former federal Liberal campaign co-chair Mark Marissen said today he hasn't decided how to vote in the upcoming provincial referendum on electoral reform. But, when contacted by Public Eye about rumours he would be voting in favour of the single-transferable vote system, Mr. Marissen quipped, "The biggest reason to support it is who's opposing it."

BC-STV is a voting system designed by voters to be good for voters. It will give voters the power to hold politicians and political parties accountable. That's why some people don't like it.

Can you guess who?

And here I was thinking the opposite! Whatever happened to "proportional representation"? It seems simple and fair enough. STV is just complicated enought to allow for the masses to be duped yet again.
