An issue, not an issue

Yesterday, representatives from Vancouver's Green and Work Less parties met at Coalition of Progressive Electors recording secretary Tim Louis's home. But, apparently, cooperation between the three parties during the next civic election wasn't a topic of discussion. Indeed, such talk was explicitly verboten. Instead, the representatives discussed organizing a joint, issue-centric event.

The Work Less Party. At the home of COPE leader Tim Louis. No petty politics were discussed, just the real serious "issues". May I ask which "issues" the Work Less Party brought up? Why wasn't the Sex Party invited? Is Louis too much of an intellectual snob to allow them into his little big tent? And does anyone see a parallel here with Stephane Dion's courting of the flakey Elizabeth May?

Seriously, it's just one more small argument, to be added to the burgeoning pile of much larger reasons, why Metro Vancouver needs to be amalgated as Premier Mike Harris did Toronto.

These guys couldnt organize the rolling of a joint, let alone an effective joint political entity.
