This morning, on Public Eye Radio, former provincial New Democrat leadership candidate Craig Keating gives Carole James some advice. The party's environmental critic Shane Simpson tell us why the government isn't answering his question about top climate action bureaucrat Graham Whitmarsh. And former Victoria Civic Electors mayoral candidate Ben Isitt weighs in on the municipal party's proposal to disband. Also on the show: our rabble-rousing panel - Don Anderson, Alex Tsakumis, Bob Russell and Allan Warnke - debate the week that was in provincial and federal politics. You can listen to Public Eye Radio outside of Victoria by logging into CFAX 1070 between 8:30 and 10:00. If you have a question for one of our guests, you can email us, leave a comment below or phone (250) 386-1161 during the show.

I hope Simpson thanks you Sean for being the person to bring the topic of Mr.Whitmarsh and his qualifications forward. I think that is the 2nd or 3rd piece you have done recently that the NDP has in turn issued a press release on . You should get a commission from the NDP for all your good work!
Holman is actually owed a huge thx from the people of this Province for bringing to light a high profile appointment, that, on the surface, aches for questions about qualifications.
Notwithstanding that Mr. Whitmarsh is making strides, it was incumbent upon this Government to meet the dignity of the electorate with an appropriate release or explanation for Mr. Whitmarsh's hiring.
That didn't happen, of course, thus the multiple stories.
If Mr. Whitmarsh continues to impress, it will always be under the anachronistic cloud of doubt over his qualifications. He is thus hampered by this perception, through no fault of Holman's, but by a Premier's Office bent on mostly cloak and occasional dagger.
If Mr. Whitmarsh fails, somehow, then you can chalk yet another one in the egg column for Ms. MacDonald and her Bushian media curtain.
Thx for coming out Kev.
Always happy to come out ! Question for you Alex; are you referring to the same Ms. MacDonald that helped chase Dr. Penny Ballem away ?
Of course.
