How Green is this garden?

The federal Greens should soon be receiving some political intelligence about voter intentions in Vancouver Centre, where deputy leader Adriane Carr is running against incumbent Liberal Hedy Fry. Ms. Carr's campaign has commissioned Oraclepoll Research Ltd. to find out just how many constituency residents will be going Green in the next election. Results of that survey - which is currently in the field - are expected shortly.

IF I were her, I would have done it probably before I decide to join the race against Hedy Fry. Grandma May who has no foreign affairs credentials too is going to burn against Peter McKay. If anything, it shows the lack of strategy GP has and they better keep this up and keep both NDP and themselves irrelevant for the next 50 years.

FHK, the Greens made a very good move in running May in Central Nova against MacKay. The Conservatives have left Eastern Canada out in the cold with their spring budget, and running in this riding is a huge boost to how much attention the media gives the Green Party. She very well could win the riding, but if she lost, it would not signal a lack of momentum, which might be misinterpreted if she ran in a strong riding and didn't win. It's a choice to draw attention to the Green Party and the solutions it represents, and it's a good choice.

Regarding the poll in Adriane Carr's riding, this is also a smart move, and is done by all the major parties to better plan their election campaigns. Rest assured that the Greens are on the ground organizing and canvassing for support there as well. It will be an exciting race!
