ABC, do-re-mi

Earlier, we exclusively reported federal Conservative nomination Sandeep Pandher once belonged to the Laurier Club - in addition to working for two Liberal parliamentarians. And now Public Eye has obtained a pre-authorized payment form showing an individual by the name of Sandeep Singh with the email address sandeep.pandher@gmail.com signed up to be a member of the Ontario Liberal Fund's automatic bank charge program. The form - which appears to have been printed following Premier Dalton McGuinty October 2003 election win - also indicates the individual authorized the provincial party to withdraw $20 a month from his bank account as part of that program. Mr. Pandher hasn't returned three phone calls from Public Eye placed earlier today inquiring as to whether he is the individual in question.

This is getting a bit much. Is Public Eye a front for Heather Stilwell??

There doesn't seem to be any homework in regards to Stilwell's links to Pro-Life, Focus on the Family, etc. etc.

Busted, Sandy!

Well I don't Public Eye slamming Dhillon either. I believe that Gary or Heather are the best people to win the nomination

By her own statement, Heather signed up 500-1000 members. She will finish 4th since it is a day long voting process and candidates will be running full GOTV efforts.

With a pref ballot, it makes it difficult to organize a second or third ballot choice as you can't tell supporters that you're trying to turn up that "when I lose I want you to vote for x"

Don't those preauthorised forms make you a 'card carrying' Liberal?

I'm pretty sure they do, in fact, I know they do. Didn't he say 'I was never a card a carrying Liberal"...I think he did.

"With a pref ballot, it makes it difficult to organize a second or third ballot choice as you can't tell supporters that you're trying to turn up that "when I lose I want you to vote for x""

If any candidate I was supporting said to me:

"I want you to vote for 'x'"

I'd tell the candidate to stuff it.

and I've done that to leadership candidates I was working for once or twice.

Hopefully people are smart enough to figure out who the next best choice would be without any idiotic pestering from candidates or worse candidate campaign workers. Seen that happen.

I've maintained to candidates, I'll support my
chosen candidate as long as they're on the ballot. If they drop off, they're on their own, and their choice for the next round may or may not be mine.

Does it make a lot of difference as these folks jump parties? The present Premier of Quebec was a failing Conservative. Now the Conservative Prime Minister is shilling for the guy in the quebec election. But n party is perfect. My God Bob Rae jumped to become a Liberal leaderhip federal candidate. he failed but is now to run for the Libs. and the folks used to call Stronck names for crossing the floor, after being elected.

DL-It depends if that person intends to be a Conservative or a Liberal in a Conservative seat. When a party change occurs due to ambition rather than principle, it is never good.

BTW, Bob Rae quit the NDP many years ago and then joined the Libs.

Charest is a member of a coalition party between federalist Conservatives and Liberals just as we have in BC.

Belinda went for egotistical reasons and history is punishing her for her blind ambition. She just wants to be PM and her move ensured it will never happen nor will she be back in Cabinet.

Perhaps every woman who has been cheated on in her riding will cast a revenge vote on the high profile "other woman".

My most rewarding job was working for a provincal and federal liberal MP and MPP, now that i am 41 i would like to run as a candidate in Barrie, Ontario - i feel with my experience and knowledge of government and the needs of the Barrie people i could give patrick Brown a good run in the next federal election.
