The Bimmer boon

Earlier, we reported Burquitlam provincial Liberal backbencher Harry Bloy had scheduled his sixth annual wine and roses fundraiser for March 17 - featuring special guest Finance Minister Carole Taylor. But it's going to be held at a new location - Brian Jessel's BMW showroom. Which seems somewhat appropriate. After all, last year Minister Taylor announced the surtax on passenger vehicles priced over $49,000 would now only apply to cars and trucks valued at more than $55,000 - which has made it more affordable to purchase luxury models like the BMW 3 Series, the X3 and the Z4.

Beats Rhinos as a place for "sampling" local beer. Although I thought alcohol and automobiles don't mix. Except in Hawaii.

The BC Celeb mutual-admiration (patronage & pay-offs) is doing the same thing it did when Carole was appointed to the CBC by the federal Liberal beautiful people.
The environmental impact of gas-guzzler uber-cars has yet to become a fashion-issue at the golf, polo and yacht clubs of Vancouver.

Ya, but....

Do they get an MSP rebate with that?

The BMW's are over prices and over rated, the
lesser models are used for police cars and municipal works cars in Bavaria.

Most of the BMW's are bought with the aid of a bank loan, so it's also money to the bank if
someone wants one of those (unless of course they win the lottery).

Theya re expensive to fix. Personally, I'd go for
a nice Caddyhack or a Ford Linkie.

Sounds like advertising for Brian Jessel, and
more of Harry's power influence.

Wonder if Harry's latest political project, Coquitlam by-election candidate Linda Reimer will be there. Harry's Constituency Assistant, Dave set her website.

No. No. No. You must be mistaken. See, Linda says that she is an independent candidate. So that can't be true...

You're obviously not one to know the truth.

Sometimes, the truth can hurt.

But that's politics.

Her website is registered in the name of his Constituency Assistant as in this extract from
cira.ca, the Cdn. registration agency:

Registrant Name Dave Teixeira
Registrar (10dollar.ca) 10 Dollar Domain Names Inc.
Renewal Date 2009/10/19
Date approved 2005/10/19
Last changed 2006/10/24

Dave's email returns from his old WWF type wresting website.

Same Dave. Same Harry. Same power plays.

This is the kind of thing that makes you look at life differently. I think I am having a crisis of being.

I was sure Linda was independent. Not like the rest. I read that she is on the local Conservative riding association too but assumed that it was a typo. Now I can't believe it. Et tu, Linda?
