Boy, we didn't see this one coming

Here's an announcement that will surprise no one: earlier, we reported provincial New Democrat leader Carole James's office would be hiring a senior communications officer. In the minds of many, that post had caucus communications officer Rich Overgaard's name written all over it. And so it has come to pass that Mr. Overgaard will be leaving the legislative basement to work in Ms. James's corner suite with the lovely and talented David Perry, the leader's chief of staff.

Does this mean that there are junior Communications Officers in the NDP offices now, too?

We knew that 185+ Communications personnel sweat and slave in the premier's office but we had no idea that even one person from Carole's office was trying to communicate.

"We knew that 185+ Communications personnel sweat and slave in the premier's office but we had no idea that even one person from Carole's office was trying to communicate. "

If Campbell was efficient, they would prune those 185+ Communications pesons down to about 20.

Alot of what they do wouldn't be considered essential.

Doesn't take much to handle form letters that are machine signed.

Good thing they're bringing in more people who will listen to David Perry. Because he really is the dominant force behind the NDP's success this past year... pause... not...
