Freelancer to carry broadsheet's standard

Freelancer Paul Willcocks's opinions are published in community newspapers across British Columbia. But soon, Mr. Willcocks will also be lending his voice to The Times Colonist. The Garden City broadsheet has hired their former publisher as an editorial page writer. In an interview with Public Eye, Mr. Willcocks confirmed he will continue penning his freelance column.

That's terrific news. Paul's one of the best writers in the business today, and his work on issues ranging from child protection to long-term care has been second to none

Rob's right. Willcocks is great and will help make subscribing to the TC worth the money.

Just one question - how does he get to contribute regular commentary on BC issues to the TC when he is neither a current nor former employee of the Canadfian Taxpayers Federation??

Good for Paul and good for the TC. Will he be allowed to cover tourism and other such sensitive issues with the same fairness he's brought to child protection & other wide-ranging topics in his regular columns?
