Crossing ideological borders

British Columbia's lieutenant governor may have forgotten to invite Natural Resources Minister Gary Lunn when Prince Edward and Sophie Rhys-Jones visited the Garden City. But he'll be on stage when former American president Bill Clinton makes an appearance next month at the Save-On Foods Memorial Centre, as part of a tour discussing Canadian-American relations. In fact, Mr. Lunn scheduled to introduce the Democratic patriarch at the November 10 event.

Does anyone not see anything whacked about a neo conservative introducing Bill Clinton to an audience in Canada?

After the beating Lund got from the CBC interviewer Anna Marie Tremonte a couple of days ago, I'm surprised he would show his face any where. My God he was trying to talk his way throught the interview and she was having nothing of it. Her questioning showed he had limited knowledge about what he was talking about. The words Cabinet decision came up a few times and of course" The New Canadian Government" as well. It was painful. But Lund is always trying to raise his profile. when he spilt from the Cons he grovelled to be allowed back in the tent and ended up as a Minister. Ain't politics grand?

No doubt the pictures of Clinton and this little man will be in Lund's election pamphlets. One hopes Bill C. is accepting of the fact , the guy is supposed to be representing government.
