A vote for royalty

Tonight, on Public Eye Radio, A-Channel's Steven Andrew and the Victoria News's Keith Norbury weighs in on the week that was in local politics. Federal Liberal gadlfy Jonathan Ross tells us why he's supporting Michael Ignatieff in the party's leadership race. British Columbia Federation of Labour president Jim Sinclair will be discussing what's on the union movement's agenda. And provincial New Democrat advanced education critic Rob Fleming is coming into the studio to bang his payday loan drum. Also on the show: our rabble-rousing political panel - Troy DeSouza, Bob Russell, Allan Warnke and Brad Zubyk. You can listen to Public Eye Radio outside of Victoria by logging into CFAX 1070 between 6:00 and 9:00. If you have a question for one of our guests, you can email us, leave a comment below or phone (250) 386-1161 during the show.

Does Jonathan Ross ever talk about anything these days besides why he's supporting Michael Ignatieff. It's getting to be like a broken record.

I was asked to appear on the show, meaning that I didn't dictate what the subject matter would be. I also wasn't the one asking the questions.

Who is jonathan ross?

Shouldn't Jonathan be talking about why he decided to switch his support from Gerard Kennedy to Ignatieff long after most of us had figured out that Ignatieff was a superior candidate instead?

Tired of riding a losing horse I guess.

Jonathan probably supports Count Iggy because he has almost no Martinites supporting him in BC, so he feels better in that camp. Funny, because Iggy is the ultimate establishment candidate.

I heard he held another event in Victoria on Sunday.

Can you imagine if some local lip-smacker is given carte-blanche to blather on forever each time one of the 10 or more Liberal hopefuls stumble off the plane in Richmond?

About the only thing that comes to mind which would be worse than that would be having Steve Harper's government re-elected to government.

Ignatieff, he's that American college prof, who also supports the ongoing (three years now) search for weapons of mass destruction inside Iraq, isn't he?

Someone should point out to him tht most of the WMD witnessed there so far have been in the hands of US military and US prison guards.

BTW, does this mean Johnathon Ross is also a WMD seeker?

I don't support any of the candidates, but if that's what it takes to get rid of harpo, let's have it sooner than later. One senior Liberal Goodale was on the CBC this morning. man can that guy skate. Do you support the softwood deal? Well not really? will you vote against it, and so on. Get a leader and lets get rid of harper and his gang before we start sending 10 year olds to jail.
