A footnote in David Emerson's history could be running against him in the next federal election. Those who follow the non-partisan politician's comings and goings will vaguely remember Wendy Yuan, who announced in February 2004 she would be running for the Liberal nomination in Vancouver-Kingsway only to withdraw a month later to make room for Mr. Emerson. Since then, she has been the leaders representative on the party's British Columbia executive. But today, Ms. Yuan - who is president and chief executive officer of a British Columbia-based export company - will return to the world of almost-elected politics, declaring her intent to once again seek the Grit nomination in that riding. The following is a complete copy of the invitation to that announcement.

Oh, yoohoo!! Marky Mark, darling...I thought you had nothing to do with Kingsway? I thought Marissen fartcatchers would have nothing to do with Kingsway? I thought you and your lovepups told the PEO world that you were not involved in Kingsway, nor any of your knights? Sir Hillman's in the mix and you're not involved, Marky?
So loud a protest was never heard......
Oh, how the mighty have (made themselves) fallen.....what an honest lad you are...
Wendy Yuan will make a fine MP for Kingsway. I'm proud to know Wendy, and I'm looking forward to seeing her CRUSH Emerson in the next election.
I agree with Jeremy. Wendy Yuan will crush Emerson. Somehow however I think Emerson will deceive the consituents of Vancouver Kingsway and decide not to run. Who knows maybe Harper will appoint him a Senator and then an unelected cabinet minister.
Mr. Manhas is suffering from no less a Tek-nical difficulty deciphering what will happen in Kingsway, as his equally (un)able bandmate, Mr. Ingoldby. Based on what's happened, the last place Emerson could run would be Kingsway, knuckleheads! He'd never run there. You could run Peter Ker against him there and he'd lose.
Who cares who wins Kingsway? Emerson will not run (and did not deceive his constituents any more than Brison or Stronach). More to the point, if the Tories are smart, they will finally boot the uber religious, looney tunes contingent from their ranks (Reid, Silver, etc.) and get on with building a good group of people to represent them in B.C. There are many to choose from.
The Tories essentially handed at least one dozen seats to the Grits, gift wrapped, last federal erection, and the Grits know this. That's why you're seeing low quality mutt candidates like Rae, Brison and Stronach. Dion, who will lose, by comparison looks presentable (but that's the best anyone can say about him)
Jump up and down all you like sports fans, it'll be the Tories in a walk for four years whenever it happens.
To: Liars and Liberals, Liberals and Liars
I have not intention to run for Federal Politics as I would be more well suited for the Role of Governor General.
Peter Ker for GG!! :P
Liars and Liberals...., I don't think you should be commenting that Dion looks presentable at best. From the people I've talked to, Dion has a good lead. It's laughable that you're trying to put down all the other candidates. I think that everyone in the race brings a lot to the table, and no-one who is underqualified for the job is running.
